Le Repaire de Gordes is a beautifully renovated stone house with a lovely pool and garden, nestled in the hills overlooking the Luberon hillside.

With a private walking path leading to the shops and restaurants of Gordes - only 700 meters - and the peace and tranquility of a quiet countryside locale, this house has it all.

Enjoy the day touring the highlights of Provence, then return to Gordes for a glass of wine by the pool. Soak in the fantastic view before heading off to dinner on foot.

The interiors here have recently been renovated to a high standard in quality - The ground floor offers open living space in harmony with the outdoor terraces, for a fluid alignment between living indoors and out.

The first bedroom sits behind the kitchen area, with private access to an additional small terrace. The additional two bedrooms are located down a small staircase from the living room, leading to the garden level.

This property is ideal for 3 couples or a small family. The three bedrooms have air conditioning and en suite bathrooms.

Enjoy the famous village of Gordes by foot, and explore all of the hilltop villages around within a 15-minute drive. Historical cities of Avignon, Arles, Aix en Provence, and Nimes are also less than 1 hour drive from the villa.

The pool may be heated in the shoulder months upon request at 150€ / week

Maid Service

End of stay cleaning and mid week cleaning included. Please inquire for more maid hours. Linens changed weekly unless agreed otherwise. Maids not responsible for washing guest dishes/ pots/ pans or personal laundry.

Le Repaire de Gordes was fantastic. No complaints at all. Truly a special place. We loved the privacy combined with the easy walk into Gordes.
The house, especially the kitchen was great. We were at the market and the poissoneire in Coustelet and were amazed at the quality of the produce, fruit, fish, etc.
We were surprised at the amount of tourists (like us!) in Gordes during all parts of the day. Some of the other mountain towns like Bonnieux and Lourmarin were less crowded, therefore more enjoyable.

Le Repaire receives five stars from us… More if it was possible!

I would, and have already recommended “Only Provence” to several people.

One additional thing: We had trouble finding the correct sizes of garbage bags for the different containers in the house when were were at the marche in Coustelet. We did not know what size to buy.

We will be back to you for our next trip to the Luberon valley.

House location is excellent – quiet yet close to centre. Quality of the villa was very high

Areas for improvement:
The pool is only waist deep – we were surprised and disappointed by this.. you cant actually swim in it!
Note from Only Provence: The pool depth is 1m, which allows for safe play for children, and easy swimming for young ones as well. It does cause less room for adult guests to swim laps.

yes, absolutely, The villa is lovely, the only provence team are excellent, and the portfolio of villas top quality

The path to the village centre is rough and stony – you could perhaps point that out.. flat shoes and a torch needed
Gordes has an excellent choice of bars and restaurants but the shops mean you can also stay in and cook too – its ideal

What did you like about your experience?
Almost everything. Booking the house was easy and convenient. People at Only Provence gave valuable information and were pretty fast to reply.
The house was even better than described. It was perfectly clean, in a very good condition and only 5 min walk to the village.

Yes absolutely.
Only Provence is reliable and professional.
The house was really beautiful and very quiet.

This is a summer hot spot with easy access to fantastic restaurants, stunning nature trails and the surrounding villages.

Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.

Terms and Conditions Overview

Arrival: Saturday (arrival date subject to availability)

Minimum Stay: 1 week - please inquire about exceptions outside the summer months.

Services Included: Final cleaning and any additional maid service listed on the web page

Making your reservation: These properties are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. However, before you reserve, you are required to review and sign a rental agreement for the villa (the “Rental Agreement”). We will send you the Rental Agreement by email. The Rental Agreement explains in detail all of terms and conditions regarding rental and use of the property in detail. We shall have no obligation to accept any reservations, unless the Rental Agreement is fully executed.

Payment: After you have signed the Rental Agreement and filled out the appropriate information, as approved by us, a nonrefundable payment of the one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee (which price is defined in your Rental Agreement) must be received by us within seven (7) days to confirm the reservation. The remaining one-half (50%) of the Rental Fee is due 60 days before the arrival date, and is also non-refundable. If reservations are made less than 60 days prior to the arrival date, then 100% of the Rental Fee must be paid upon the signing of the Rental Agreement. Please know that a failure to pay any portion of the Rental Fee as set forth above and in Rental Agreement can result in loss of the reservation of the villa and a termination of the Rental Agreement. We will confirm receipt of each payment and note any outstanding balance and due date(s).

Cancellation: We have a no refund cancellation policy, but usually succeed in rescheduling cancelled reservations to the Spring or Fall or re-booking the cancelled period to another group and refunding the party that cancelled. Failure to pay the final balance (which is due 60 days before arrival) or provide required information for the security deposit may be deemed a cancellation with no refund due. Clients are advised to consider Trip Cancellation Insurance with the carrier of their choice at the time of confirmation.
