Upon entering the front gate of the property, guests immediately feel the ambiance of peaceful space and privacy. There is a true Provencal spirit here planted within the trees, plants, flowers and fragrances.
When welcomed into the entry of the stone farmhouse, our guests are impressed by the size of the house, the high ceilings and the quality of the renovation.
The ground floor hosts a masterpiece fireplace facing a large beautiful sitting area, a large dining room opening on the South terrace, a kitchen with air conditioning opening on the pool and pool house area, as well as a second sitting room. A wonderful large bedroom opening onto the entrance hall has easy access throughout this ground floor level, and benefits from its own spacious en-suite bathroom. This room is perfect for anyone less inclined to stairways.
An impressive stone staircase leads to the first floor, where a mezzanine guides you to four large private bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The Master bedroom has a dressing room and is connected through the bathroom to a smaller bedroom, very convenient for children. The three additional private bedrooms have views upon the beautiful gardens.
Outdoors, you'll find the summer kitchen and comfortable west-facing lounge area around the pool to offer an ideal space for enjoying long days of relaxation, as well as evening aperitifs and dinners encompassed by the nature of Provence.
This renovated farmhouse truly exudes the essence of the region.

Are you willing to share a testimonial with other potential renters?
Bastide Estellan was most enjoyable for our group of
friends. The facilities including the outdoor kitchen/ seating area was exceptional and we used it every day. The swimming pool and gardens are well maintained with a good security gate. The bedrooms were spacious, linen and bedding of a high quality and the bathrooms were a high standard and all very clean. We were a group of cyclists and appreciated having a garage for our bike storage. We highly recommend Bastide Estellan to any group or family for a beautiful holiday in Provence.

Bastide de l'Estellan is set in the Gordes countryside, about three kilometers from the village and within easy reach of the villages of the Lubéron so adored by travel writers - among them Ménerbes, Lacoste, Goult, Bonnieux and Roussillon. Beaumettes and Coustellet, small villages with a variety of shops, are less than ten minutes by car. The property is likewise well located for excursions beyond the Lubéron. Aix-en-Provence lies to the south, the Cotes du Rhone wine-producing region to the north, and the villages and restaurants of the Alpilles region to the southwest. The historic town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, once a center of the Provençal silk trade and now home to more than 200 antiques dealers and Provence's best-known open-air market, is a drive of less than 15 minutes, is the center outside Paris of antiques dealing.
Getting here:
The easiest way to get to Inland Provence from the US is to fly to Marseilles International Airport (MRS). If you would like to see Paris, fly to Charles de Gaulle Airport then connect directly to the TGV(high speed train) from CDG TGV2 to Avignon TGV(3 hours direct) and rent a car. You would plan to see Paris on the way back, taking the TGV from Avignon TGV to Gare de Lyon, getting a cab to your hotel in the city.
