A stroll through L’Isle sur la Sorgue will take you alongside canals, across waterways, near the occasional waterwheel and by many boutiques and antique shops. The famed Sunday antique market should not be missed. After the market, enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of several outdoor dining options, many waterside.

This market is smaller than the famous Sunday market, but still a very pretty Provencal market and better than most markets in the surrounding smaller villages.

This lively market has the reputation for being the most substantial and beautiful market in Provence with a variety of fresh foods, clothes, antiques and more. There are many antique shops in town which will be open as well as antiques vendors in the market. Leave time for lunch and a stroll through the antiques shops. The Sunday market is a great place to go the morning after your Saturday arrival!
Please note that most restaurants in Provence do not open until 7:30 in the evening. Reservations are needed in the high season, especially for groups.
