Our group of five-friends from three-states came to St. Remy and Bastide de la Douceur to rest, relax and enjoy one-another's company. We could not have asked for a better experience. This lovely home with beautiful grounds provided the perfect backdrop. Our sun-filled days spent by the pool or reading a book under the shaded arbor, followed by long candlelit dinners under the stars allowed us to create memories that we will cherish always. From the onset, Only Provence was responsive and made the experience seamless. We cannot wait to return.

With respect to 'Only Provence' the simplest thing to say is that you are the best vacation rental company we have dealt with. I originally had some concerns relating to your location in the USA with us being in the UK. However these proved to be totally unfounded. Your response time, expertise and knowledge of the rental contract and related issues was faultless. The brochure, knowledge of your rental properties and Provence was likewise excellent, as was your payment process. In our experience many vacation rental companies fall down with back up and contact at the holiday location itself but this is not at all the case with 'Only Provence'. You clearly have knowledgeable and easily contactable representatives on the ground and in our case a special thank you must go to Barbara our house manager who handled all the relevant cleaning and management issues during our stay and was in contact whenever needed. Finally even the bicycle hire was seamless, as the company knew you well and delivered and collected the bikes just as planned. On this basis our rating is 5 out of 5 stars.

I am so happy we found Only Provence before our once in a lifetime trip to France. Finding Only Provence assured that our experience in Provence was as good as we could ever have hoped. We were able to see seven villages in Provence that will remain in our memory forever. Had we stayed closer to Aix en Provence, experiencing these villages would not have been nearly as easy. The drive to Rustrel from Aix en Provence was a daunting one. While we made the drive five times, it would certainly have deterred us from seeing as much of Provence as we did had we not been staying in the heart of Provence. I loved our five days in Paris. But our eight days in Provence were the highlight of our French experience. How can anywhere be that beautiful?!

Our BA flight was cancelled and instead of arriving at 4pm we got there at 11 30pm. Detailed information about surrounding villages and attractions is easily searchable. The Only Provence French team helped us out by suggesting a restaurant for lunch in St Remy and making the reservation. It was a memorable meal.

Areas for improvement:
Only Provence: During the booking process, it came to light that the advertised price per week for our selected dates on the website was incorrect, causing an unforeseen 300 Euro increase in the price per week. Only Provence needs to ensure that all information is current and correct.

Even though there were some issues with both Only Provence and the villa, we would certainly recommend Only Provence as well as Mas des Cerisiers.

I would certainly recommend the GPS for any rental cars as I consider myself very capable to read maps and navigate but after breaking down to get the GPS (which was recommended to us as well) I repeatedly told my wife I’m so happy I did as roads aren’t as well marked as they are in the states. Took all the worry out of navigation.

Once we had made the decision which village in the area, it was choosing from a great range of property with the facilities we were looking for. Everyone loved the accommodation, they all concurred that is was exactly my style, but they all very much loved it too! It allowed us space and great communal areas to share a fantastic holiday.
